Are there any side effects from said drug?

I am now three days taking Calvepen 666 for a Strep throat, I had the infection for two days before I attended the Doctor as I did not think it was going to need anti-biotics. I have had very little sleep due to the constant pain and do not feel any better. I have been advised it will take time to work. My question is as follows: Is three days not long enough, should I go to my Doctor again as I am not able to attend work due to feeling so poorly?

Calvepen is an Irish brand name for Penicillin, it is an antibiotic used to treat many types of infections.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea.
