Hi. Mr Doctor has prescribed Pur-bloka 20mg twice Daily to slow down my heart rate, which it has done but I find my BP dropping too low too even without taking the 6mg Carloc. Is this not dangerous as I then have pain in my left arm when it is too low? ## Hello, Janet! How are you? How low is your blood pressure dropping? Lower blood pressure isn't always dangerous, it depends on whether or not it is causing someone problematic symptoms, as reported by the NIH. What type of pain do you experience? Does it radiate? Or is it muscular? Have you consulted your doctor? It would be best to have this checked out to be safe.

I am a 47 year old male and have suffered from cluster headaches for 25 years, without any medication really helping. Someone recently recommended verapamil My doctor hadn't heard of it. Does it help, and how is it meant to be taken- daily, or only when headaches occur? ## Yes, I take verapamil for migraines. Don't know if it works for cluster headaches, but if your doc hasn't heard of it there's at least a decent chance he also misdiagnosed you as cluster headaches vs migraine... It is a preventative so I take it every day. For me, I'm taking 240mg SR. It is not a cure but it does reduce the frequency and severity of my symptoms. I took 25 mg atenolol around 3 pm. And forgot I did. I took another tablet around 7 pm. I am worried. My doctor told me doesn't seem to be dangerous. I asked how low can by pulse go. He said it depends on how I feel. My pulse is oscillating between 49 and 55. My blood pressure was lower than normal. But now it is ok. It is just my pulse. I am afraid to sleep for fear of my pulse going to low. ## Hello, Maria! How are you? Did it go any lower? Most people do take 50 to 100mgs a day, so that isn't a dangerous dose, unless you'd be allergic to it, or your heart rate would drop too much. The FDA lists its other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and increased urination. Did you try some activity or anything to help raise it some?

So, when hypertension is a misread diagnosis and Losartan is prescribed, fluid retention occurs. HCTZ is added to no avail then doubled. Retention continues. Before Losartan, BP avg to 160/100. After, 160/90. HCTZ added, 140/90. HCTZ doubled, 110/87. Remove Losartan and HCTZ, 130/80. A misdiagnosis can be deadly. Not understanding your med cocktail is just as deadly. Mine was a case of hyper-vigilance brought on by bad medication complex. Doctors miss this daily. I tried with 6 doctors who kept going with the hypertension conclusion. Once I stopped the bad medications, I was fine. Don't always trust a doctor to be correct. They don't always have the time to do the correct research. Do your homework. It's your body. It's your responsibility. ## Yes, it is wise to always b...
