Has the lawsuit been heard yet? I want off of this stuff and am so ticked that my doctor not only put me on it but never explained any symtoms, or how it should be taken. Where does responsibility begin with a Doctor today? ## A doctor is not a pharmacist and does not have the same schooling. Most doctors prescribe medications according to safety and efficacy, they usually know very little about the side effects or any other information on it. That said, the recall ONLY affected tablets manufactured by one company, not ALL! Since it is a generic medication, it is made by several different companies. As to how to take it, you should follow the instructions provided by your...
Why do doctors online and offline pretend that Metropolol does NOT cause hair loss, when there are patients online and right in front of offline doctors complaining that this beta blocker is making them lose their hair!? Instead of being honest, they blame the patient's genetics or make out like it's some other cause--stress, maybe, or diet, blah-blah. Metoprolol causes the hair to fall out and it doesn't take a long time on that drug, either. Just a couple months, and some of us are near bald. Time for honesty about this, and also WHY AREN'T THEY DEVELOPING A HEART MED THAT DOES NOT CAUSE HAIR LOSS???? ## How long does it take for the Metoprolol to leave the body after you stop taking it? and how long does it take to get your hair back? ## Well that sucks. I have been o...

I found a small round pink or peach pill with one side scored and the other side has no markings. Does anyone know what this is? ## I have a pink pill that is scored on one side and blank on the other side. It looks like my blood pressure pills --only pinker. Does anyone know what it is? ## Hi Denise, A round pink pill that's scored on one side and blank on the other fits the same description as a 4g Glucose (raspberry chew-able) tablet as well as a 1,000mcg Vitamin B-12 (cyanocobalamin) tablet. Being that there's no other imprints, I think a lab analysis may be the true only way to know for certain. Do either of those options sound like possibilities based on your medical history or supplements that have been purchased at some point? ## Small pink pill think its valium only a w...
I lost my job because my call center closed on May 31st. The insurance I had which almost entirely paid for all of my prescriptions also ended. I'm currently substitute teaching but that is as needed. Is there anyway to get samples of this prescription in the meantime? 100mg 1X's daily is the dosage I took. ## Unfortunately, since Losartan is a generic medication, patient assistance, and sample programs are not likely available. However, there is a Prescription Discount Card available here. It is free, and has helped many people save money on prescriptions. Another idea would be to ask your pharmacist if they know of any helpful programs available, some states, such as Washington, have a program specifically for low-income, uninsured people. When I was uninsured, and needed it, ...

It is not even a half inch in diameter ## Hello, The closest match I've been able to locate based on the description you've provided is Enalapril (10 mg); which is an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and some types of chronic heart failure. I take 1 Lisinopril at 10:30 am, 1 Amlodipine at 3:50 pm, and another Lisinopril at 10:15 pm ... BUT, I accidently switched the 3:50 dose of Amlodipine and took the Lisinopril. Is there a cause for concern? I am a 58 year old female who suffered 2 TIAs. I also have carotid stenosis, left atrial enlargement, and diabetes type 2. Please advise. ## There shouldn't be any reason for concern, unless your doctor feels otherwise, but you should skip the next dose, so you don't end up taking too much of the Lisinopril. As a matter of fact, most people take Lisinopril as a once daily dose, rather than splitting the dosage, since it tends to help people remember to take it, if they don't have to remember repeated dosages. Taking too close together with the previous dose may increase s...
I have very painful legs when in bed. It's so painful that I'm not able to sleep. I've been taking this med for four weeks now. Is this a common problem when taking Lercanidipine? Thanks. ## Hello, Sally! How are you? If it's only while you're in bed, then it may be due to Restless Leg Syndrome, rather than the medication. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Are you on any other medications? Does the pain ease, if you move your legs, or get up and walk around? ## Yes it is. I had a ‘holiday’ from this medication for a while and the leg pains disappeared. On resuming the medication they came back again. I agree they are not very nice pains.

White oval pill with E and then 281, it's supposed to be Metoprolol but they are smaller than the other ones I had before. ## The size of a tablet is only dependent on what filler/inactive ingredients the manufacturer has decided to us in the production formula, and the medication dosage, so pill sizes can differ from one manufacturer to another. The tablet with the E 281 marking was manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, and they listed it as containing 25mgs of Metoprolol, which is commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. NDC: 00185-0281 This tablet has been discontinued. Ref: Medline Plus Metoprolol The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination.
Does this medication reduce pulse rate? ## Yes, it can cause a lowered heart/pulse rate as a side effect. This medication contains the active ingredient Bisoprolol, which is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions, its other side effects may include nausea, dizziness and hypotension. The main thing you have to watch for is how much it's lowering your heart rate, if it's dipping below 60 beats per minute, then it is a concern that should be discussed with your doctor. It should naturally be lower when you are sedentary, but it should go up when being active. If you are a high performance athlete, yours may be lower when resting and that may be normal for you. Are there any other questions I can help with? ## Why wou...
Does prazosin cause acne? I've always had very clear skin and since I started taking prazosin I've been breaking out (zits) all over my face, even on my neck. And they're not just little pimples; they are the huge. They are big zits that never come to a head, they take weeks to go away, sometimes leave scars, and they hurt! ## Yes, this works on hormones in the body, so acne can be a result. I had a very similar problem, when I was taking a similar drug. It never stopped for me, until I switched medications, so I'd suggest looking into that for yourself. Because I tried every other metho I could find and nothing helped. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## I have acne now after starting Prasozin. My skin is more oily too. ## The same thing is happening to me!
