I started a new pack. But then like a week later I couldn't find it so I decided to take the pills from another new packet I had. Then I found my original pack but decided to stick with the second one. I tried to remind myself that because I had a different pack I had to remember that when it is supposed the last four days of a pack, I need to take the white and brown ones. Just forgot about it. So the last four days I took blue pills. And now I am starting a brand new pack. So basically the last month was all blue pills. And I wont take white or brown ones until the end of my new packet. Is this bad? ## No, many women do this on purpose to skip their menstrual cycle at times it would be inconvenient to have their periods, such as for a long planned vacation or wedding. It is basica...

I took norethisterone for 3 weeks while i was on my honeymoon. 3 days after i stopped taking it i had my period but it was lighter than usual. I now feel really bloated like i am due on again and this is my usual period start date even though i only had a period 10 days ago. is this normal? ## Yes, this can be a normal side effect of taking hormonal tablets. You may start bleeding, when you stop taking them, but your body will also want to return to your normal cycle. Are there any other questions? ## I have been on Jadelle contraception for a year now. For the past six months have had on and of extended mentsruation and was prescribed Norethisterone 5mg, which i take for 21days in the months i am irregular. Is this normal and will i have any problems when i decide to have a baby. ## hi...

In January I went to my gynocologist because I hadn't had my period for a few months and he decided to switch my birth control to Loestrin 24 Fe. The first 3 months I had my period normally, but I have not had one since. After reading a post on here, I also think the birth control could be why I have developed anxiety! I have also been sick off and on with dizzy spells, my migraines have gotten worse, and I have phases when I get extremely nauseous and sick after eating. When I talked to my Doctor's nurse about missing my period she told me that it was normal? I have had off and of spotting and thinking/feeling like I am about to start but I never do. Used to if I missed ONE pill I would start the next day and that hasn't happened. I'm pretty worried that this is the rea...

Hi I haven't had a period since February, also haven't fallen pregnant for 7 years, so I'm taking oralcon to regulate my hormones, but since taking the pill I get like period pains and tender or bloated feeling in my lower pelvic area... ## Hello, Carmen! How are you? Those can be normal side effects of this oral contraceptive, according to the U.S. FDA. Other typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. It usually takes about 3 months, for them to improve and go away. If they aren't gone by then, or if they worsen, you should consult your doctor. Is there anything else to help with?

I hev inserted jadelle for 8 mnths now and o only menstruated the first 2 months and the next 6 months i did not and i was also breastfeeding.now i hev stopped breastfeeding and still am not heving my circles also the jadelle rods seems as if they hev moved from their normal inserted position.so can anyone help me and tell me what's going on ## That can be a normal side effect of using hormonal contraceptives, according to the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. It is generally nothing to worry about, unless your doctor feels there is reason to be concerned. Some women just don't menstruate while using hormonal contraceptives. Is there anything else I can help with?

hi i have an implanon n went to my periods but on my last day i noticed that am having heavy bleeding with clot and i have to change pads efter every two (2) hours so i went to the clinic they gave me anserobyl 400, injection and ovral 28 but still no change. Is there any problem with my abnomen? Is is normal to have those rainy periods?its like i pee when having them ## That can be normal, when you have the Implanon, but the Anaerobyl won't help, it is an antibiotic and can only help treat, or prevent bacterial infections. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am on the nuvaring birth control (i do 4 weeks with nuvaring in (28 day) - 1 week out (7day)). the nuvaring was still in and we had an accident where the condom broke on Nov 11 night. I didn't think much of it... I am due for my period - so I took the nuvaring out on Nov 13 (as I was supposed to as it had been 4 weeks). Then on Nov 15, my nipples started feeling tingly... So I started getting worried. I took a plan b on No 15 (approx 90 hours after incident).... So - given the fact that a. i had birth control in (nuvaring) b. it was days before my period was supposed to start (and 26 days in my 28 day cycle with nuvaring IN) c. i have taken plan b just in case... So, while my period was supposed to start today - I know it won't since I took plan b yesterday. I assume my chance...

How are you? Yes, you should still finish the remaining pills in the pack. This is the second time I've had jadelle implants. No period but monthly cramps which are really bad. The last cramps I had were excruciating. Felt like I was in labor. My hair is thinning our and I've gained weight but my eating habits are the same. I'm having it taken out. The cramps are unbearable. ## Unfortunately, Sammy, those can be side effects of this medication, according to the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache, and spotting. I am sorry that the cramps were that bad. When are you having it removed? Has anyone else experienced this?

I got my Jadelle implant 2 years ago now, where in that time i got absolutely no periods or spotting or bleeding whatsoever. I didn’t experience any side effects and felt totally normal. For the past two months this has changed however, and I’m experiencing almost constant bleeding. The bleeding varies from light and heavy, the more recent bleeding has been on the heavier side. Is this normal? Should I go have it checked out to make sure everything alright? The consistency of the bleeding I find is quite stressful, and is having an impact on my professional life (Im a white water raft guide, I’m on the river for more than 4 hours a lot of the time so i get worries about changing my tampon as we can’t stop on the river) and my intimate life. Any advice would be hu...

Iam 45 starting angeliq is it allowed for woman in this age. I have all the classic symptoms of menopause. ## Hi I'm 45 my dr just put me on angeliq to I think it's ok peri menopausal ## It is sometimes used in people of this age, though there are risks, according to the NIH, it increases the risk of certain types of cancers. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia, and spotting. I've been taking Fluoxetine to help with my symptoms, it has been shown to help in a low dosage and it does not cause the same risks as hormone replacement therapy. Has anyone else tried Fluoxetine/Prozac to help with perimenopause symptoms?

I started using Oralcon-F pills 14 hours after intimacy. We didn't use protection. Is there any chance that I can get pregnant? I had never taken contraceptive pills before. ## Yes, if you are only taking one pill a day, then there is still a risk of pregnancy. To be effective, these must be taken daily for at least 7 days, before engaging in intercourse. There are some that you can take in higher doses, after intercourse, to help prevent pregnancy, but that most be done within the first 24 hours to have the best results and within 5 days to still be somewhat effective at prevention. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and irregular bleeding. Have you done a check for pregnancy? ## Tanong ko lng ho.ang paggamit ng ho...

Hi, I've had my menstrual for over three weeks and ended up being admitted to the hospital because my blood was very low and they had to give me two units of blood. While in the hospital they gave me some estrogen in my iv and my menstrual has lighten up a bit My doctor said that I'm bleeding so much because i have fibroids. I'm also 47 yeasrs old and had a tubal ligation many years ago . My doctor has put me on tri sprintec to help with the bleeding and today i picked up the prescription. I'm still bleeding and have no idea whan to start taking the pills. PLEASE HELP!!!! ## You can start them at any time, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise. Just don't rely on them to protect against pregnancy, until after taking them for a full 7 days. The FDA lists the typ...

I started Sprintec a week and a half ago, first time ever on birth control, on the Sunday of my period, for the purpose of skipping my period two cycles from now. I noticed nausea almost immediately and pretty much everyday. I'm okay with that because I've been eating less. I started spotting three days ago, very light, but still need to wear a panty liner. I know it says that spotting is normal, but I just don't want it to last for weeks, all to skip my period for 5 days in two months. Could this be my period? Or how long does this last? Also, I was taking vitamins, which I will now stop taking, as I read that increases side effects. I just want to see if this will be worth skipping a period in two months, and it will actually skip. Thank you! ## Hello, Rita! How are you? A...

I lost one pill (Tuesday) on the last week of active pills and just took the next days pill in replace of Tuesday's lost pill. I ended my active pills a day early and started taking the placebo pills on Saturday instead. I had intercourse on Saturday when I started the placebo pill. Did I need backup birth control when having intercourse? Should I take Plan B? I also plan on starting the new pack on this upcoming Saturday now. Thank you. ## Hi Lala, Sorry to hear about the lost pill. To my understanding each and every one of the active / inactive pills contain an equal measure of hormones or inert ingredients. So taking Wednesday's active tablet should not have caused any discernible differences from Tuesday's active tablet. Concerning the possibility of becoming pregnant, i...

So today I went to take my pill for the day (I'm on week 4) and noticed that somehow I was taking Monday's pill and not Tuesday's. The thing is that I know for a fact that I have not missed a day of taking them, but somehow my days have gotten off. Tonight is the first white pill, should I just ignore the Tuesday pill and take like on schedule or add a day in for the one blue pill still left? There is no way I could have missed (I never had any bleeding to indicate this), but I can't figure out how I could have gotten off my a day. Thanks. ## The best thing to do, in such cases, is just to continue the pack, as usual, and move on to the next. The marked day is not as important as being consistent. If you are worried about the risk of pregnancy, then using backup contrace...

I accidentally switched my week 1 day 7 pill with my week 2 day 1 pill and had unprotected sex during that time; I switched them on Friday and Saturday with sex happening on Saturday. I have taken 2 more week 2 pills since and am back on track with my days but I need to know 1. If those weeks are the same doses of hormones? 2. If I should be looking at other options like Plan B? If I should be looking at Plan B, how do I take that in conjunction with my birth control?
