I have been on Pristiq for two years 50mg, but have spent the past month in bed with nausea, fatigue, headache, body/joint aches/pain. I've had blood checked, etc. no problems. Decided to see if this one med that I take, that has helped in the past, is now making me sick. I can't find any good info on long-term problems online. I had been thinking that it was time to give my body a break, and will be cutting back, ie, every other day dosing, and look forward to seeing how I feel once out of my system. Any thoughts? ## Hello, just read your post and can tell you that I have experiencing something similar... switched to Pristiq (from Lexapro) back in 2011. Since then, my overall "health" has definitely declined - not to mention a 30+ lb. weight gain. I reached a point last...

I have been taking Cymbalta for 2 months now. I was extremely nauseous for one week on 30 mg. I waited a few weeks and then upped my dose to 60 mg. I keep waiting for the nausea to go away. I am almost at 2 months now, and I get nauseous (not severe, but really yucky) at least 2X per day. I have to take an anti nausea drug to stop it. Has anyone else been nauseous for a long period of time on this drug? Did it ever go away? ## Are you saying you're getting the nausea, even at other times and not just when you take it? If so, then I'm suspicious that it may not be from the Cymbalta. I mean it's possible, because there's no way to say how a medication will affect any particular person that takes it, but it's not common. These types of medications usually only cause nau...

Small Blue Pill 10 On One Side Blank Other side, what are they? ## Hi Star, While I haven't come across an exact match, I did find information leading me to believe that this pill is most likely manufactured by Apotex, Canada. If it's light blue it might be Elavil 10mg, & if it's a darker blue maybe Trifluoperazine HCl 10 mg. Perhaps you can contact the manufacturer directly via the link below to get a more definite answer: apotex.com/ca/en/contact/default.asp I hope this helps!

I want to know if there's benzo in prozac ingredients ## Hi shay, I think you may have mistaken the drug class for an active/inactive ingredient. To answer your question, Prozac (Fluoxetine) is an antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class; not having any chemical relation to benzodiazepine medication like Xanax. If you'd like to know which inactive ingredients are present in your pill, please post back with a description of the tablet (i.e. shape, color, imprints, etc), and I can look that info up for you. I hope this helps!

what is the difference between co-citalopram and apo-citalopram ## Hi Lynda, Based on my research, apo-citalopram is generic Citalopram. From what I've heard, the FDA permits generic formulas to vary by as much as 20% from the active ingredients in brand formulas. Were you prescribed this medication? I've been given a generic before without my knowledge, I don't think it's uncommon but it is quite frustrating! Learn More: Citalopram Details</a If you have any more questions, please post back and I'll be happy to assist you. ## Hi Lynda, APO-... is the suffix that pharmaceutical manufacturer APOTEX uses. as for CO-..., I'm not sure myself. I do agree with Jenna and believe that both of them would be generic Citalopram.

I WAS CURIOUS WHAT EFFECT WOULD HAPPEN IF MORE THAN ONE DOSAGE WAS TAKEN OF THIS MEDICINE. I CURRENTLY TAKE 20MG ONCE A DAY (IN THE MORNING) BUT I COULDN'T REMEMBER IF I TOOK IT ONE MORNING SO I TOOK IT AGAIN IN CASE. ## depends on the meds ## well, you sould know by now! actually, most likey pretty mellow and maybe a bit light headed, not wired and edgy like if you doubled up on prozac. but people's reactions can differ. ## Doubling up just here and there on accident will not really make much of a difference. You may experience a few of the side effects that you did when you first started taking it, but nothing dangerous, since your body is already used to the medication. This is often used in doses far higher than the 20mgs that you are regularly taking. ## I just started on t...

I have been on Pristiq for about a year, after being on Zoloft for about 4. Zoloft was making me like a zombie, but ever since I've been on Pristiq, my wife and I fight, and I am barely able to control myself to the point I have now been physical with her, and I hate myself for this. I am sure it's the drugs, but probably me too. ## Hi Dave, From what I could gather, any signs of aggression you're experiencing are more than likely due to Pristiq. Agitation was listed as a side effect on some webpages, but there are also other side effects that in my opinion could eventually lead to having a short temper. A list of side effects can be found here: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a608022.html#side-effects It may be a good idea to try a more natural approach to getting rid...

I have been taking 100 mg of tramadol twice daily for a bit over a month. I have tried numerous times to wean off the medication but am having a hard time. Now my GP doc will not refill the prescription after 2 refills. I have recently been prescribed Amitriptyline 50 mg per night to help with sleep and pain by my neurologist. I'd like to know whether amitriptyline might help with horrible withdrawal I'm experiencing in day 2? I will never take Tramadol again because of how dependent my body got on it. I told husband that dealing with my head and neck pain is better than my experience with Tramadol. Does anyone have experience taking Amitriptyline to detoxify from the Tramadol? ## It may be beneficial for you to take an antidepressant, at least for a few weeks, to help the withd...

been on pristiq 5 nearly 6 weeks but im still feeling shaky and sick .shouldnt i be better by now? heard it takes 6-8 weeks should i stick it out that long? ## No, it should only take about 4 to 6 weeks. If you're still feeling that awful, it would probably be a good idea to talk to your doctor. This most likely just isn't the right medication for you. Learn more Pristiq details here. Have you tried any others, or just this one? ## Sweetcakes, I hope by now you have seen your doctor regarding these symptoms, if not get there asap, this is not normal & have them help you in getting off the Pristiq! I also took this drug and it was the worst both while I was on it and getting off is very difficult it was for me anyway - so like Verwon said please seek medical attention you hav...

Thus, the likely culprit might be the Sizodon, this class of medication is well-know to cause these types of side effects. Have you consulted your doctor? does any one have positive reactions to lexapro for anxiety I was given this med but havent started it it and worried because everyone is wanting to get off, why? Did it not help, make you worse please let me know ## mommy5, by not taking the lexapro that was given you it's quite likely that you have already saved yourself from having to contend with the possible added anxiety of how to later get off it, like the other folk that you mention wanting to get off it. I've been prescribed and given drugs in the past but never took some of them. It may be possible for you, with some therapy, even self-help therapy, as many others have done, to find out what is actually causing your anxiety. I believe that just about everyone who has lived for more than just a couple years has had high...

Any feedback on this tablet? ## I got a prescription refill for citalopram hbr 40 mg. The new tabs have different markings (MX33 vs RDY 344 on the old) and are half the size of the old. Can they be the same medication/dosage? Thank you. ## Yes it IS celexa but that specific form isnt working, so be careful. Search for it on the internet and you will find the reports. My husband had that pill and it didnt work. It caused hell in our home. Changing back to the other tablet today!! ## Yes, all of the tablets that were asked about for a confirmation of identity in this thread contain 40mgs of Citalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant. Learn more Citalopram details here. And no, just because it looks different, has different markings and/or may be a different size, there is no reason to wo...

the dr changed my med from effexor to this prestiq.can you tell me anything about it ## They are both SSNRI antidepressants, however, Pristiq is very new to the market, it was just approved on February 29. 2008. The most common side effects include: nausea, dry mouth, fatigue and dizziness. ## My husband took prestiq for 2 weeks. He became aggressive and violent. I now have the children amd families involved in my life due to the fact the neighbors witnessed him destroying our yard. Our life was good before, i just wanted him prescribed something since he seemed so stressed. Needless to say he is under doctors care and the doctor told me he would never prescribe prestiq to anyone ever again. Hello all, I am currently taking 40mg of Celexa, and have been for about 7 months. I originally started taking it because I had pretty bad anxiety and I would "worse case scenario" things in my head. The celexa seemed to stop these things fairly quickly, but now I have started on 25mg of Adderall XR after being diagnosed with ADHD (im 15). The Adderall helps me to focus and my grades have been rising, the original stress and anxiety was from school and grades. I think I would like to stop taking the Celexa because I feel like I don't really need it anymore and some of the side effects scare me. Like I said I tend to worse case things, and I guess im a bit paranoid (not to the crazy extent though) about some things. After seeing stories in the news about these tragic mass mur...

Trazodone was prescribed for sleep. I am suppose to take 2 at bedtime. This pill has Dan on one side & 5599 on the other. It is a round white pill. I just received my 3 months supply from Medco. These pills are a white round tablet w/ Barr on one side and 555/490 on the other. Could you tell me if they are the same medication. ## Just to clarify for anyone else looking for information, the prescribed medication and the pills received with the BARR 555 490 on them were and are the same thing, 100mg Trazodone tablets, the medication was not changed. (NDC 0555-0490) These people were just provided tablets made by a different company, but they were not given a different medication.
