I am on Amloiopine 5 mg. and Amaxide 75/50 for extremely high blood pressure. I am 79 yrs. of age, and most of my relatives have not lived past 50 yrs. of age. I've been on meds since my 40's, and every now and then the doctor has to up the dose of meds. I'm on amlodipine and linsinopril. I have m.s I get constant urine infections. The only thing that works it grapefruit seed oil. I am shocked to read you shouldn't take it with amlodipine. Unfortunately "sodium starch glycolate" is considered to be gluten and toxic to those who have severe cases of Celiac disease. This particular filler is common in many medications. My husband had a false positive on a hair follicle test for methamphetamine and amphetamine and I think it is because he takes Amlodipine Besylate every day. The hair follicle test results were so high that he would have had to do meth everyday. I know for a fact that he does NOT do meth, but he does take the Amlodipine Besylate 10mg every day and Clonidine 1am & 1pm that is the only meds that he takes on a daily basis.
