Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 18)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

I would just like to reiterate, that maybe whomever said that the Teva Adderall’s aren’t working, I strongly disagree. As a matter of fact, I have my two preferred brands, Sandoz and Teva, both work great! *Now, my Adderall is from Teva-USA, so maybe because it’s made in their US generics division and not overseas the quality control was better cuz they work the same as I’ve always known them to.

I don't know if there is a difference, but my generic 30mg IR's come from TEVA USA, (vs. being made out of the country), and they seemed to be a little lighter shade of peach than i remember, but I can tell you after FINALLY, 3 weeks past the refill date I was able to fill my 90 day supply, the TEVA-USA ones work GREAT STILL. I don't know who has a problem with them, and whom they prefer instead. I have Sandoz and Teva; the TWO BEST.

Or stop taking methamphetamines and opiates on the side and go to sleep at least 6 days a week and you'll be all better.

Sry brother what ur going through isnt your fault. You definitely have more experience than most i know of.I saw bottle of lies and i believe the elements.The struggle is real from either trying to focus or trying to stay awake this is a serious problem that can cause dangerous scenarious for either.Fda should act.

I learned that the fda hasnt done manufacturing inspections since like last spring due to covid.Its bad enough they give them up to 12 twelve weeks in advance they're coming to inspect mostly overseas.China and india.Just saw in news article another indian company falsified data papers.I read they change data on paper and on computers for bioequivelance false test results like for batches of the drug. to avoid penalties and its more than one company.Also expecially lately due to covid india has been heavenly relying on china for their API (ACTIVE PHARMACEUTICAL INGREDIENTS) IVE read a few articles where the drug didnt even have the right api imagine that plus our fda giving them a heads up to inspect.Also to know even if or when the fda does run a test there their only testing for bioequivelence not to see if its effective say like giving someone one and saying now tell me if it works or not.

"Bottle Lies" subtitled "Ranbaxy & the Dark Side of the Indian Market" author Katherine Eban. (published in 2019) . Note: Even Ranbaxy made a generic Adderall from 2008 to 2010, when they got in trouble, with USA authorities, I had one prescription of this Ranbaxy mfg "mixed amphetamine salts" for the former Brand Name Adderall, by Richwood (1994 to 2001) ShireUS until post 2002, to IDK for sure but around 2008/2009. (Instant Release generic Adderall 5 mg/7.5 mg/10mg/12.5mg/20mg./30mg.)

This was the hard-cover name of the book my (highly credentialed) new old school USA Psychiatrist, with our new intake 50 minute interview, my 70+ "Shrink" fully agreed with both the book and his & my attitude....saying generic ADHD / Narcolesy meds has significantly gone down hill, for the past imo since at least late 2011 to here & now !! The book "Bottle of Lies" is on the few books in his office, for patients I guess to observe.

Hi Joe. I have filed 6 complaints in the past 3 years. I know I can't be the only one following complaints since this is such a widespread issue. Still have yet to see the FDA take any action whatsoever. I think the only action they're taking is putting money in their pocket from Teva. Where I live in Colorado Teba has made themselves be the only brand that's available in the 7 pharmacies in my area. I would seriously choose Aurobindo or any other manufacturer at this point. I have noticed the an effectiveness of other medications that have come from Teva as well. Curious if anyone else has encountered this also.

With narcolepsy this makes it very dangerous when I have x-rays and doctor appointments to go to.
I can take one and I fall right asleep on them. I need to know what to do or what else will work. I have never had a problem before. If you or anyone can find out any information please let us know.

Same here. You are not alone. I Haven’t had a good batch of teva or any brand since 2018. I have tried them all.
Just picked up a new prescription of teva and I’m curled over in bed feeling even more bizarre than ever. It makes me yawn, confused, headache, heavy eyes. Can’t seem to find a consistent manufacturer.
Not sure what to do anymore.

Teva has been horrible for the past 3 years. No therapeutic benefits whatsoever. Just horrible side effects. I've take 20mg IR for over 14 years. I thought TEVA was the worst until I also received my 3 month script of this worthless BARR crap. I'm fighting dozing off after taking every dose. Now I'm stuck with 2 months of this crap and no treatment whatsoever for my ADHD symptoms. And for the record I was diagnosed when I was 11 , not a tolerance issue considering I've been taking the same dose of the same medication for 14 years. Every month the consistency of all medications from Teva hit or miss, vary in quality, but are always of low-quality and total crap. The FDA could care less.

take a few moments to file a complaint to the fda, you can write out your complaint or do it over the phone, i just recently talked to a representative of my senator and will go to the other senator

Note: TEVA has had serious problems, financially, & with upper management executives, + massive employee layoffs, & newer upper mfg executives walk off the job ! Ref: price fixing and other USA mfgs, as well from many AG's from various USA states. Too many problems to list here, imho, it began almost 10 yrs ago. A shame Teva/Barr once was the best Adderall in the USA. This is reference their Stimulant production/quality control, as well, in addition to the price fixing...relating as far back as 2012 to 2015. Also, Malllinckrodt (USA hdqtrs) filed for bankruptcy protection in October 2020. source (fiercepharma) + the mallie adderall were very poor adderall I/R for me back in 2015/2016. I gave up on all adderall I/R after taking it from 1994 until 2015. (from any mfg). I take either Teva generic Dextrostat or Mallie generic Dextrostat since 2016.

If possible find out where or whom Teva Adderall is "actually manufactured at" physical location. (once Sellersville PA, later in North Carolina, old info here, from before 2018) of course, the generic only, Instant Release !!

Source #2, there is a book published in the past few years, I saw it in my new Psychiatrist office, dedicated to corruption in the USA ethical pharma industry about ADHD & Narcolepsy meds, I do not have the ISBN# or title, yet. I just switched from a 20 yr relationship with now a retired shrink. My replacement "shrink" this year (2021) on my January intake, agreed with me, the stimulant market has been turned upside down for some years now.Both my shrinks warned me about the inconsistencies, all over the USA with nearly all I/R adderall and even the pure d-amphetamine I/R generics !! My generics of pure dextro amphetamine I/R only are a grade B imho.

Just my 2 cents worth, I do not trust anymore the FDA / Orange Book ratings / or, even the DEA.

So your med should contain the following:

amphetamine aspartate monohydrate: 25% – …
amphetamine sulfate: 25% – stimulant, (12.5% levo; 12.5% dextro)
dextroamphetamine saccharate: 25% – stimulant, (0% levo; 25% dextro)

I suspect 3 things:
1. You are not ADD (which I doubt).
2. You took too much
3. Med is crap and doesn’t come close to the above breakdown.

My guess is #3 as I have taken that Mallencrap and actually filed report with FDA .

Bottom line is NEVER accept those white, weird shape pills from Mall..The other Generics have been diluted but don’t are not infusions if caffeine

My experience with Mallinckrodt was the exact opposite.

There was absolutely no efficacy.

They probably get weak at the end of the year because they start to run out of the allotted active ingredient (they are only allowed a certain amt per year) and I know there was an Adderall shortage in the fall like usual.

Have you guys tried the Mallinckrodt? I got them at Rite Aid and I won’t pick up another one they were TOO STRONG. I cut one in half, and it kind of turned to dust, but I took what I thought was half and my hands shook like crazy. It was uncomfortable, but in 2017/2018 that brand was really weak. Yikes
