Yes, this is a foreign tablet, sold under the brand name Alplax and contains 2mgs of Alprazolam, a Benzodiazepine used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache.

This is three scored, not four; divides into 4 x 500mcg pieces. Foreign, Verwon, depends on where you libe; you shouldn't assume all live in your country!!
The tablet described is ALPLAX, a 2mg alptazolam bar by the company Gador, SA. It is the only benzodiazepine they make, though they are famous for their extremely high qualoty drugs including SOMIT (zolpidem) & INSOMNIUM (zopiclone), both often said to be the best brands of these 'z' hypnotics. ALPLAX is recognised as being as good as, probably better than, Pfizer/Upjohn XANAX/XANOR/TAFIL, depending on where you live. In any case all carry the imprints 'UPJOHN 29, 55, 90, & 94' depending on syrength from 250mcg to 2mg, except the Parke Davis livenved Xanax, which is marked 'XANAX 1.0' and should be avoided because the tablets on testing all prove to be just over half strength, around 658mcg. These tablets with the non standard imprint are made in Pakistan. Stick with those made elsewhere. But ALPLAX suits many patients better, and is cheaper than the P&U product. I know it works better for me.
