Are there any pain medications that can cause a dirty methamphetamine test??? What are they??? ## I dont know of any pain meds that would test positive for meth. The only OTC meds im aware that cause false positives for it are ehpedrine plus, bronkaid,primatene or any meds with ephedrine or psuedoephedrine.

Can taking the over the counter asthma relief medication primatene cause a false positive result for methamphetamine? ## Apparently the medication Primatene contains the active ingredient ephedrine; which is known to test positive for amphetamines from the research I've done. Hopefully you can get this situation sorted out. Have you had a chance to ask your doctor about getting re-tested? I know some who takes ephedrine plus and it always comes up postive for meth. When the test is sent to the lab they are able ti differentiate between the two so its not a big deal just expensive

I've been taking street *not_prescribed* vyvanse 30 mg once daily *give or take, as some days, I'd wake up too late to take it* for about 8 weeks. At first I loved it, but now I'm not so sure. I'm experiencing extreme irritability, severe insomnia, nightmares, and some pretty debilitating panic attacks. I'm also concerned for my digestive system. My son has a very mild form of aspergers he does not have ADHD but has ADD. He is also on Zoloft 50mg as well as vyvanse 50mg. He has been on both of these meds for a little over a year and the only positive thing me and my husband has noticed is his concentration at school. The biggest thing we have noticed is agitation,tics like biting his nails and the skin beside his nails so short to where they bleed and just a VERY bad attitude. He is also very down on himself. I was reading the side effects of both the Zoloft and Vyvanse and both cause agitation and tics. i have been taking adderal for years now and got drug tested twice and both came up negative for amphetamine. Now the doctor will not prescribe them to me, but I take them twice a day. What could this be from???? Very frustrating.. ## Demand another drug screen to be done somewhere else like your local hospital, I have had the same thing happen to me, I was told if you're takin other meds they can sometimes block the amphtmines from showing up. They can refuse your request for another drug screen, and if you get the drug screen done at your local hospital, just take your results to your doctor, if he refuses them, talk to the C.E.O over the whole doctors office and your doctor will be forced to atleast read your test results, but don't wait too long.

Went to doc today for complete exam and asked to restart Adderall. Was on it for 4yrs, and in April when I we t to get my script( for Hydrocodone..didn't need Adderall at that time), from the doc's office was told I needed to give urine sample. It was 4:20 and could not pee to save my soul! Finally at 5:15, the lab tech told me the last lab run was leaving, but I could come back in the morning and give sample then. The next day I went but was told since I didn't produce a sample yesterday, my physician would no.longer fill any controlled substances for me. Have been off Adderall for 3 1/2 months now. Any ideas from anyone? I don't want to switch doc's... I really like this one, and have seen her for years.
